Pretty in Pink

I have a confession to make...

I really want to dye my hair pink. Yes, you read that correctly. PINK! I'm really not sure how or why this started but somehow this crazy idea is really sticking to me.

I've been longing to make a change with my hair for a while now and I think this might be the perfect way! It's super edgy and totally unlike me! I definitely wouldn't dye it completely because I don't want to ruin my hair with bleach. However, I think a few pink highlights peeking out (like the pic of Nina Dobrev above!) could be really cute!

What do you think? Should I try it out? Tell me in the comments, I really need your opinion!

  2. I have always been hesitant with dying my hair (especially when it's non natural looking colors), but if you have been wanting to do this for a long time then I say go for it! Nina Dobrev's look from Vampire Diaries was super fun! One suggestion that others have given me is to start off going darker than you think. A darker pink or red is a little less crazy than light or super bright pink.

  3. If you have a feeling you want to do it then you should try! :) There's only so long you can! When summer hits I'm going a little more blonde which I have never had before.. But I know that I really want to try it so I'm giving it a go!

  5. You should totally go for it! It's just hair, you can dye it back if you hate it. No reason not to have fun with something that can be changed and changed back so easily!

  6. If you're hesitant, invest in a really good hair chalk! :)

  9. Try it! Absolutely try it. I've been wanting to dye my hair either electric blue or hot pink for years but I've yet to go for it - I feel I wouldn't get enough out of it being home all the time!

  10. You should DEFINITELY try it out. I'm a brunette and dyed a few sections of my hair hot pink during my senior year of high school. I loved it. I was obsessed. It was a small change, but it had impact. I chose to do pieces that were toward the underneath layers of my hair so they could be hidden if need be. I got it done by a professional and then she provided me with a bottle of color for touch-ups (because trust me - the pink fades faster than you'd think). I kept this look for almost a year. So much fun and often dream of doing it again. I may invest in hair chalk this time around though ;)

  11. Hey you are young so I say go for it. I have been thinking about doing this but blue not pink and actually my whole hair but not sure if I got the cajones to do it, especially since I'll be job hunting soon.

  12. I've wanted to do this for so long! It's just never seemed like the right time, you know? Maybe this summer I'll get some streaks or something. But I think you should go for it! It looks so fun. xx, Elizabeth

  13. Love it! The only concern with pink is that it fades super quick...I got colored hair extensions professionally done once for fun and I really liked it. The pink stayed pink and it made me feel edgy. haha.
